Webinar: "The path to sustainable security in Gulf of Guinea – Effectively meeting the challenge".  Date: Tuesday 14th December 2021 Time: 13:00 - 17:00 GMT Register for free: https://lnkd.in/e_xeCVua Keynote speakers include Jonathan Huggins - maritime consultant to UNODC, Jakob Paaske Larsen - Head of Maritime Safety & Security and Mr. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal - Indian Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Moderated by Jonathan Huggins (maritime consultant to UNODC) a wide range of experts will present at the seminar including Dryad Global's Casper Goldman and others from regional stakeholders, seafarer groups and UN agencies to give their perspectives on the situation. Featured speakers will include the Indian Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (Mr. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal), the authors of the recent UNODC report on Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea (Pirates of the Niger Delta, Between Blue and Brown Water), seafarers who have been recently affected by piracy, and regional authorities providing updates on regional efforts to coordinate operations. There will also be a session specifically devoted to better incorporating international support, and how to ensure a legal finish for longer term results.
