The precise nature of the explosion remains unconfirmed however mine is being seen as the probable cause. Focus continues on the likelihood of renegotiation of the Ukraine Grain initiative with Russia continuing to focus upon the shipment of Russian foodstuffs and fertiliser products. 👉 Within West Africa the principle focus of the Maritime Security agenda remains the contested arrest of the M/T HEROIC IDUN which is currently being transferred to Nigeria. 👉 Within Libya, international involvement continues to drive external narratives with Greece looking to demarcate its maritime boarder with Libya. Libyan oil output continues to grow, set against a backdrop of political turmoil. 👉 The Gulf of Mexico continues to be an area of increasing instability with reporting indicating an OSV board- ed and robbed offshore Campeche and a spate of three incidents involving attacks on fishing vessels resulting in the theft of outboard motors and other properties.
