Corey Ranslem to Speak at Cyber-SHIP Lab/IMO Annual Symposium on Maritime Cyber Security

We are excited to announce that Corey Ranslem, CEO of Dryad Global, will be speaking at the Cyber-SHIP Lab/IMO Annual Symposium, a leading event for maritime cyber security experts and innovators. The event will take place on 13–14 November 2024 at the International Maritime Organization, London.

Corey will participate in the first panel discussion at 10:15 am on 13th November, focused on the theme ‘Progress in Maritime Cyber Since the Last Symposium’. With his extensive expertise in maritime security, Corey will offer valuable insights into the evolving challenges and advancements in the maritime industry, highlighting key developments in cyber security over the past year.

The panel will be chaired by Dr. Rory Hopcraft from the University of Plymouth’s Cyber-SHIP Lab. Also on the panel will be Matt Parker from the UK Department for Transport, as well as a representative from BMT, a leading defence and maritime services provider. The panel will provide a platform for industry leaders to share their experiences and expertise, with interactive audience engagement through Slido for real-time Q&A.

This symposium, now in its fourth year, is co-hosted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which has supported the event for the past three years. The 2024 theme, 'Directions and Challenges in Maritime Cyber: Current and Future', will explore the latest trends in maritime cyber security and the path forward for the industry. This in-person event will bring together professionals from across the maritime sector, including ship operators, IT and OT systems manufacturers, cyber security consultants, and government agencies, all contributing to the ongoing dialogue around maritime cyber defence.
