Dryad Global was proud to be represented at the 2025 RTCM Assembly and Conference by our Director of Technical Sales, Erik Speyer, who delivered a presentation on a crucial topic for the maritime community:“Visualization of MSI (Marine Safety Information).”
Held annually, the RTCM Assembly and Conference is a key gathering of technical experts, industry leaders, and government professionals shaping the future of maritime communications and navigation systems. This year’s programme addressed a wide range of innovations—from satellite and terrestrial communications to autonomous systems, evolving IMO standards, and next-gen maritime safety protocols.
Reflecting on the event, Erik shared:
“RTCM was a great conference to receive an understanding of the American perspective on the proposed changes to the dissemination of Marine Navigational Information as is proposed by the S-100 standard currently being discussed by the IMO.”
As discussions on the S-100 standard and its impact on the dissemination of Marine Safety Information evolve, Erik’s contribution provided insights into how visualisation and integration of MSI can enhance situational awareness, operational planning, and ultimately, maritime safety.
Erik’s presentation also aligned with Dryad Global’s ongoing development of Secure Voyager Hub—our intelligent maritime situational awareness hub.
Secure Voyager Hub is purpose-built to support decision-makers across the maritime industry by fusing global threat intelligence, marine safety information, and advanced risk analytics into one intuitive platform. Unlike traditional systems, Secure Voyager Hub is designed for dynamic, real-time risk assessment, integrating:
MSI and NAVAREA alerts
Maritime security threat data
Port risk assessments
Environmental risk indicators
Vessel tracking and behavioural analytics
With user-friendly visualisation and customisable dashboards, Secure Voyager Hub empowers commercial operators, shipping companies, and security professionals to plan and respond with confidence.
Events like RTCM highlight the importance of collaboration across borders and sectors. As marine navigation and safety standards continue to modernise, Dryad Global remains at the forefront—bringing together intelligence, technology, and practical expertise to meet the industry’s most pressing challenges.
We’d like to thank RTCM for hosting an excellent event, and we look forward to further engagement as we work toward a safer, smarter, and more connected maritime future.
