👉 Within West Africa the principle focus of the Maritime Security agenda remains the contested arrest of the M/T HEROIC IDUN which is currently being transferred to Nigeria.
👉 Within Libya, international involvement continues to drive external narratives with Greece looking to demarcate its maritime boarder with Libya. Libyan oil output continues to grow, set against a backdrop of political turmoil.
👉 The Gulf of Mexico continues to be an area of increasing instability with reporting indicating an OSV board- ed and robbed offshore Campeche and a spate of three incidents involving attacks on fishing vessels resulting in the theft of outboard motors and other properties.
