Boarding - 278nm S Lome

MDAT-GoG reporting indicates that a vessel has been boarded approximately 278nm South Lomé, Togo. 

MDAT-GoG reporting indicates that a vessel has been boarded in position 01°11'3N 001°30'19E approximately 278nm South Lomé, Togo. The reported incident location is 52nm outside of the JWC-025 HRA and 110nm outside of the Nigerian EEZ.

Update 04 April 22 - 1305:

Crew members are understood to have made it to the citadel and are reported s safe. Pirates are reported to have been onboard the vessel for approximately for 4hrs during which time they are understood to have attempted to access the citadel. 

Whilst details remain unclear this incident would represent a break in a significant hiatus of reporting within the Gulf of Guinea.
