Dryad Global's Casper Goldman delivered an introductory briefing looking at maritime crime incidents in the Gulf of Guinea. Other speakers included the Liberian Maritime Commissioner Eugene Nagbe, the authors of the recent UNODC report on Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea (Pirates of the Niger Delta, Between Blue and Brown Water), seafarers who have been recently affected by piracy, Mr. Jakob Brix Tange from Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Superintendent Raymond St. Ange from Seychelles Prison Service, Préfet Maritime du Benin Mr. Maxime Ahoyo, and Rear-Admiral (Nigerian Navy) Agada, Co-Chair of GoG/MCF-SHADE.
