👉 Due to the escalating Israel-Gaza conflict, characterized by Hamas' large-scale military offensive on October 7, 2023, the situation in Israel remains highly unstable. We advise evaluating each port visit in Israel on a case-by-case basis and implementing appropriate precautions in ship contingency plans.

Currently, the primary conflict zone is in southern Israel. Ashkelon port is generally closed, but exceptions for cargo berthing or discharge at the anchorage may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Ashdod port is operational but enforces stringent entry procedures for vessels carrying hazardous materials. Haifa, Hadera, and Eliat ports are reportedly unaffected and operating normally, though this situation could changeas events unfold.

Given the rapidly evolving circumstances, ship operators and masters trading to Israeli ports should:

- Continuously consult local sources such as vessel agents, authorities, or Gard's correspondent for the latest security information.

- Adhere to guidance from their flag administrations and port authorities regarding ISPS security levels.

- Review and implement relevant security and contingency plans accordingly.
