👉 Within the last reporting period Russia has again threatened to withdraw it s participation in the grain deal if its demands are not met beyond 17th July. The Russian Warship IVAN HURS is understood to have been attacked by an unmanned vessel 80nm SE of approaches to the Bosphorus Strait. Russia stated that the vessel was protecting the Turk Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines - which carry gas from Russia to Turkey, partly across the Black Sea. Russia claims to have successfully interdicted the vessel and states that the IVAN HURS remains on task.

👉 Beyond the Black Sea global piracy rates continue to decline with incidents tracking at a 23% decline when compared to the same period last year. Localised increases continue to exist in Southeast Asia where incidents of vessel boardings and robberies are 18 and 20% higher than this time last year.
